Description

Weed Raker Pond & Lake Rake

The Weed Raker pond and lake rake is the ultimate aquatic weed removal tool. Use this multipurpose lake rake to clear away underwater weeds after cutting them with the Weed Razer™ underwater weed cutter. The Weed Raker easily removes debris and free-floating weeds like water hyacinth, bladderwort, salvinia, water lettuce and others. It also clears away debris from the lake or pond bed.

Featuring 8-inch-long teeth, the Weed Raker digs and pulls weed stems and roots from the bottom, slowing or eliminating re-growth. To clear floating material on the water’s surface, simply fill the hollow rake head with floating material. Or fill it with heavy material like gravel to reach weeds, debris and organic matter on the bottom or your lake or pond. Tip: Use the Weed Razer to cut underwater plants before removing them from the water’s surface with the Weed Raker.

AWESOME! THIS THING GRABS EVERYTHING OUT OF THE LAKE

Awesome! This thing grabs everything out of the lake! Pallets, dead duck, beer cans and oh yeah all the seaweed! It grabs muck too but it kind of goes through the tines as your pulling. A must have if you live on a lake!

    GOOD TOOL FOR POND OWNERS

Does a good job of raking leaves out of my shoreline.

WEED RAKER MOST IMPORTANT TOOL FOR WATER CLEANUP

What a great tool for keeping the area off my beach and dock clean from evasive water plants. I used the weed razer to cut all the different lake weeds. But the Weed Raker is what removes the weeds and makes the bottom of the lake visible. I can see fish again and I am sure they love the fact they can bed on the bottom once again for more bass in the future! Only downside is that if you throw out into deep water, air in the tube holding the spines can cause the rake to turn upside down.

    FIVE STARS

works but you have to put a pool noodle on top so it doesnt sink.

    EXCELLENT PURCHASE. NEEDS GRIPS

Excellent buy. I have been cleaning very heavy Jupiter grass and the like from our lakefront. Suggestion…use this to pull to dock, stand on handle and use a metal yard rake to lift debris onto dock. Next, if trying to dislodge, for example, Jupiter grass, throw to back and use a jerking motion to loosen. Portions will pull free – patiently do this until you are able to pull a large “chunk” to you. Suggestion…this really needs rubber grips. Thinking of trying bicycle handle bar tape. When gloves get wet, it is very difficult to grip the pole adequately. Buy the Gorilla Carts Garden Cart to haul your lake debris. The ability to drain the water from it makes bagging MUCH easier. Careful, however, on uneven surfaces. Cart can be “tippy.” Side note: bought WeedRazer to accompany this purchase – unhappy with results.

    BETTER ON POND SURFACE

We are going to add a pool noodle to the rake to make it float, otherwise we just rake in the weeds that have settled on the bottom.

Well made and not too heavy and I will probably never use all four handle extensions. We are going to put a rope on the handle and toss and rake very similar to the Razer but on the pond surface instead of the pond floor.

Very happy with all the floating and dead weeds I have been able to clear from the lake frontage of our lot. Great item for all lake front owners to own. Thank you!

WE LOVE BOTH OF THESE PRODUCTS

I bought the Week Razor as well so using this in combo with it, but I think the Rake itself would work well on its own. We love both fo these products, most neighbors on our lake use a chemical to remove lily pads and such but our dock was overtaken by what I tend to call “lake kudzoo” and this removed it well and allows a good place to put in our canoe without all the weeds, Lilly pads and lake garnish. I also review the lake razor very highly from the same company as we worked in tandem to cut and then rake. But I felt like this may have worked well on it’s own also.

    Truly AH-MAZE-ZING Rake!

I LOVE this rake! It was so easy to put together! (The Weed Razer was not so easy. Follow the video tutorial for that.) It is super lightweight. I do not have the “toss” perfected as of yet. However, I know I will before the season is up! I recommend buying the Weed Razer and the Weed Rake at the same time. It makes clearing areas a whole lot easier!

(The pictures show what the Weed Razer does. I did not get a chance to take pictures of the Weed Rake in action yet.)

I cannot recommend this product enough!

    WEEDS NO MORE!

This is a really neat tool. I tied a pool “noodle” to it to make it float because I have more floating weeds. Does a bang up job and is really sort of fun. My husband and I had a contest of who could throw it the farthest. Of courser he won, it is just a bit heavy. Very Zen tool, one pass and the lake was clean. Easy to put together and it looks to be very sturdy.

This take is amazing. It is heavy but it grabs everything that you want it to. It was so helpful clearing the weeds from the lake. Actually, it gathers them extremely well but you need a rake or fork or your hands to lift the weeds out of the lake. This item can’t do that well but with the long handle, huge teeth and weight it is perfect for getting them all in one area.

LAKE WEED RAKE IS VERY STURDY, VERY WELL MADE

The Jenlis Inc. Lake Weed Rake is very sturdy, very well made. Although the tines are heavy duty plastic, they also
appear to be quality material. I really like the way that the handle is adjustable, depending on the job that needs done.
I have a medium size pond that deepens gradually to 12 ft. I did find out that if I threw it out in deeper water, if the lower end of the rake had space to flip completely over before it touched bottom, it would do so, pretty much consistently. I do not know if this is a design flaw, or just unique to this one rake.

The good news is that I did not want to scrape the bottom of the pond anyway. I was bringing in weeds, and much of the aquatic life that I didn’t wish to disturb. So, I attached a flotation device to the top of the rake tines. Now it works perfectly because it doesn’t flip over anymore, and I can clean the heavy floating grass, leaf debris from the pond surface and keep disturbance of the lower ecosystem to a minimum. I am impressed with how much debris I can remove within a short period of time

Just to put this review in perspective, I am a lady “senior citizen”. I appreciate my pond and the wildlife it attracts. This rake has helped me immensely to keep the pond manicured and maintained without harming the fragile lives within it.

PERFECT FOR REMOVING AQUATIC WEEDS, TRASH AND LEAVES FORM A BOAT SLIP

We resisted buying this Jenlis Weed Rake 15145AT4 because it seemed so expensive compared to other, similar looking tools we tried first.

But after getting frustrated with a couple of alternatives, we gave this product a try.

It turns out that the long, gently curved, flexible plastic tines on this rake – combined with the 36″ bar width and 11 foot handle – makes it easy to pull floating and sunken aquatic weeds, trash, and leaves out of our boat slip.

As others have noted, waterlogged weeds and trash are surprisingly heavy, so we found it’s easiest to pull out a manageable amount with each pass, dumping the residue in a mesh bottomed steel utility cart (similar to the Farm & Ranch FR110-2 Steel Utility Cart with Removable Folding Sides and 10-Inch Pneumatic Tires, 400-Pound Capacity, 34-Inches by 18-Inches, Green Finish) to drain the material dry before disposal.
