Description

Weed Razer Pro Lake & Pond Weed Cutter

Designed to control and remove lake weeds, the Weed Razer Pro is an adjustable version of our Weed Razer aquatic weed cutter. With the same weed-slicing performance of the original, this easy-to-use cutting tool features stainless-steel blades that adjust to seven different angles to cut through tough underwater weeds. It effectively clears a path through the water from 30 to 62 inches and collapses for compact storage. Multiple blade positions allow optimal weed-cutting performance with all types of aquatic vegetation and densities.

The Weed Razer Pro’s adjustability provides the flexibility required for tight areas (like small ponds or around lake docks) or maximum productivity by cutting an area 25% larger with each throw than the original Weed Razer. Plus it features a floating rope that gives this weed-cutting tool a reach of up to 30 feet. Weighing an ideal nine pounds, the Weed Razer Pro is environmentally friendly and can be used easily and safely in shallow or deep water. Tip: Use the Weed Raker to remove weed fragments after cutting underwater plants.

1. Throw blades out and over area to be cleared

2. Pull it back in using short, hard jerking motions

3. Repeat as needed

Just a quick note to thank for the speedy shipping of the Weed Razor Pro. I am very pleased with the construction and operation. Exactly what I needed for cattails. Thank you.

This tool works great. I can not stress enough how sharp it is. Use extreme caution when using. The first time I used it I left it in the water and didn’t realize where it was and walked into it cutting my leg. Fortunately it wasn’t very deep. The second time I used it I put it on shore when I wasn’t using it thinking it was in a save place and then walked backwards into it cutting my ankle. New rules for me when not in use be sure to put protective blade coves on it! So it works great but use with extreme caution. Where protective gloves and always be aware where it is. Put blade covers on when not in use. Great product but use extreme caution!

    THE RESULTS WERE GREAT

I have had this product for a couple months and used it several times to to remove Lilly pads that grow in the canal that I live on. It works really well for that when used in the throw it out and retrieve it mode. The canal I live on is 125 feet wide and I cannot throw the weed razor that far so I tied it to the back of mt John boat and towed it back and forth through the lilies in front of my property. The results weret great. I had to do this several times to get them all but for now I am lily free.

I AM TOTALLY SATISFIED WITH IT

This tool helped greatly with the weeds that were taking over the edge of my pond. It’s easier to use than I would have guessed. I am totally satisfied with it. My pond looks great and I can see my large goldfish that again!

IT WAS EASY TO PUT TOGETHER

It was easy to put together. We just had to snap the handle together.

When we tried it out, it worked pretty good. It is early spring and it cut through the old cattails from last year decently. We have a steep drop off around the edge of our pond, so our cattails only go out about 4 to 6 feet. We could use the handle most of the time, but we found that using the rope made it easier on our backs.

    IT WORKS GREAT FOR ME

It works great for me, be prepared to work when using it,also be very careful ,sharp razors, wear good gloves. I’m cutting Lilly pads, a straw type grass and eel grass, goes through like butter. I’m also using it to drag debris from cuttings to shore.

  9. 5 out of 5

I removed what must have been 500 lbs of milfoil weed in the river around my dock. Great tool that manages not to get hung up on obstacles under the water. Make sure to wear gloves as the razors are exactly that.

    EFFECTIVE BUT HEAVY!

This is an amazing tool – it really does a great job, cuts everything with a firm jerk. Previous reviewers were right about having to wear gloves – it’s a must if you work with it for any length of time.

The only thing that was disappointing was how heavy it is. I understand it is that heavy because it is well made, etc. but the picture of the bikini-clad young lady on the box who we are to assume just threw the Razer out, along with the instructions to “give it a toss”, deliver the inaccurate implication that it is easy to throw out there into your pond. It is NOT easy and leaves the user exhausted and sore the next day. If you’re in great shape it’s probably easy to work with. If you’re not, get ready for a challenge!

    THIS TOOL IS AMAZING

I have lived on my property (200 ft. of shoreline) for 20 years.  In 4 hours, my wife and I had the shoreline looking the best it has ever been!

OVER MATCHED FOR A VERY HEAVY CATTAIL INFESTATION

Appears sturdy and we’ll built. This can be a very dangerous tool if you are not careful. The product packaging is a bit deceitful – wear protective clothing and heavy gloves or you will get hurt.

That said I had a hard time using this because .you pond was neglected for many many years by the previous owner. My cattail infestation was very heavy with a thick ring of plants at least 6 feet wide. It took 3 hours just to clear about 20% of my shore line. I almost lost the tool multiple times because it could not get thru the thickest areas. I pulled so hard I’m surprised the rope didn’t break.

At the narrowest blade setting the weed razer would sometimes start to ride up on one side of the cattails rather than stay on the bottom. This required multiple pulls thru the same area. Wider settings were possible only after an area was mostly cleared, otherwise it would have been near impossible to pull.

I imagine once the heavy infestation is cleared that maintenance of the pond will be a lot simpler.

I found the adjustments to blade width to be difficult. Wearing heavy gloves made it very difficult to push in the lock pins. For safety you must put the blade guards back on when making adjustments. I think a cotter pin arrangement might work better here.

Certainly where there were fewer weeds it was a lot easier to use.

WORKS GOOD, BUT NO KIDDING…IT IS WORK

Works very good, don’t think it’s going to be easy . . you will work hard. The rope is slippery even using gloves, wrapping the rope around your hand hurts but is necessary. Now, I was going through some thick cattails. That being said, I can’t think of an easier way to remove cattails. I would order again, it does work.

WORKS GREAT ON CATTAILS AND POND WEEDS

works great on cattails and pond weeds. Make sure it sinks to the bottom for good cutting.

Works better than anything I’ve tried before. Well built.

GREAT UNIT JUST NEED A BETTER ROPE ATTACHMENT TO THE POLE

Unit works like a champ. Good workout. The only bad thing is the rope loop broke where it attaches to the pole. The clamp used in making the loop in the rope came apart. When it did it left my new weed razor pro on the lake bottom 15 feet from the dock in 10 feet of water. Going to put a shackle on the pole in where rope attached and just tie or hook to that.

WORKS PERFECTLY, BUT BUY THEIR FLOATING RAKE; YOU’LL THANK ME LATER

Works amazing, but be prepared for the workout of your life. If you’re only throwing it 15-20ft it’s not too bad (I tied it to a 60ft rope to max out my throwing abilities, very sore for the next 4 days and I work out daily). Also, buy their floating rake. Seriously, job took many many hours longer since I didn’t.

Works even better that I hoped for.

    GREAT PRODUCT

I bought this to help me clean out my small pond and it absolutely works great. The product is well built and should last through the abuse I am putting it through. However, it is a lot of work and is not quite as easy as the vidios make it look. It’s not so bad in light work like lilly pads, but when you get to thick grass be ready for a good workout. The good news is it will help you loose weight!

    WORKS LIKE A PRO

I have a community pond completely over grown with cattails.
The weed razer Pro worked just as advertised you toss it out and pull the rope back in and I cuts the cattails below the water line.
